Sending Estimates
To use Estimates with CurdBee you will first need to enable the Expansion Pack add-on and then enable the Estimates add-on. If you have already enabled both of them, please make sure that you are logged in to your account before following these steps.
- If you enabled the Estimates add-on recently, you should have noticed a new ‘Estimates’ tab at the top of your CurdBee interface. Click it, and you will be taken to a page that looks like this.

Since you haven’t created any estimates before, the screen will be mostly blank. Look to the right sidebar and you will see a button titled Create a New Estimate. Click it to create a new estimate. - On the New Estimate screen, you can add the necessary details for the estimate.

You can customize the date if necessary, and of course you need to specify an estimate number. After that, you can add a client, item(s), and if necessary, a Note in the field at the bottom of the form. When you’re happy with how your estimate looks, click Create Estimate at the bottom of the screen. - Your estimate is now saved as a draft. You will be directed to a screen that looks like the one below.

On the right sidebar you will a host of options for the estimate you just drafted. You can preview the estimate you created, download it as a PDF, close and delete it, but also and more importantly, Send it and Convert it to an invoice.
Estimates vs Invoices
The difference between an estimate and an invoice is a subtle but important one. While invoices are bills that need to be paid, estimates are quotations that clients can consider and give you feedback on. Of course, if she or he agrees with your quoted price and the specified details, etc., CurdBee allows you to Convert your estimate to an Invoice and bill your client right away!
