Using Discounts, Taxes and Shipping charges
You need to enable the Expansion Pack add-on to start using discount, tax and shipping features.
If you have already enabled the Expansion Pack add-on, please follow these steps to add taxes, shipping and discounts to your invoices.
- Click on the Settings link from the dashboard and then select System Preferences from the side bar.
- Your System Defaults are maintained on the System Preferences page. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to see four sections titled Discount, Tax 1, Tax 2 and Shipping with check boxes to Enable them.
You can make each field active by clicking on its relevant check box. - You can specify a default amount for the above fields. This can be a fixed amount like 200.00 or a percentage such as 20%.
- Tax 2 can be a compound tax (known as Tax on tax). If so you need to enable the Compound Tax option next to it.
